A unique collaboration inspired by Japanese craftsmanship. Sailor has partnered with Kamawanu, a Japanese brand specialising in traditional tenugui (hand towels), known for its commitment to craftsmanship and timeless design.
They have designed two limited edition Pro Gear fountain pens each paired with a matching tenugi;
Tsurumaru-ume - Cranes and plum blossoms are considered as a symbol of good fortune of longevity. The design featuring pairs of facing cranes represents harmony and a happy relationship, expressing a wish for a long, peaceful, and healthy life.
Fugu-tateoke - Since antient times, the pufferfish had been called ‘fuku’, a word associated with ‘good fortune’ (‘fuku’ in Japanese). In this design, the traditional Japanese pattern ‘tatewaku’ which depicts rising stream or clouds and is regarded as an auspicious motif is reimagined as bubble, expressing a joyful pattern to bring good luck.
Each design is limited to 400 pieces only!
